Join a growing new OSP cable pulling team for one of the nation’s highest rated broadband service providers. We are hiring exceptional Cable Pulling Technicians!
The Outside Plant (OSP) Foreman is responsible for performing diversified work related to the new construction and maintenance of FTTP networks. This position supports the OSP Team and works with other associates from the department to construct and deploy all-fiber facilities throughout residential and commercial communities.
The Foreman will assist the Supervisor with administrative tasks, personnel issues, production agendas, and efficiency initiatives.
*This is a full-time traveling position and successful candidates will work a 21/9 (21 days on, 9 days off) rotation away from their home*
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely drive, operate, and maintain all trucks assigned to your crew
-
Maintain tool, material, and required safety gear inventory
-
Provide the needed services for the construction, operation, and maintenance of ALLO FTTP Networks
-
Maintain thorough compliance with all federal, state, and local safety requirements
-
Keep abreast of all changes affecting any records, reports, and related information affecting this position
-
Set a good example by always following and teaching safe practices
-
Procure tools and job-related items as needed
-
Monitor associates daily team assignments and track overall clock- in/clock-out accuracy
-
Daily crew meetings prior to the start of work
-
Weekly Associates meetings and reviews
-
Deliver coaching and/or corrective action to associates as needed, escalating issues to Supervisor when appropriate
-
Assure that every associate completes all periodic training in a timely manner
-
Ability to teach/train and delegate work
-
Report staffing and construction quality trends to the Supervisor
-
Present a positive and professional image for ALLO, serving as the initial public face of the company
-
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

Must have adequate time management skills

Must be a team player and problem solver who can facilitate teamwork between different aspects of construction, while maintaining high morale and meeting production goals

Can uphold the responsibilities of a supervisor, when and if necessary or needed

EDUCATION:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
-
5 or more years of verifiable experience, Previous Team Leadership is required
-
OSHA 30
-
Valid DOT Physical Card
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Understanding of basic and/or advanced Fiber Installation principles

Proficient with all phases of line construction

Assumes full responsibility for completed work, perform routine line work without close supervision, completing work with quality and timeliness

Can operate both Larson Trailer and Power Unit safely
