• Business Development Leader - Prefabricated Interior Construction Division

    Position Summary:

    The Business Development Leader will lead and direct business development efforts for AOI’s Prefabricated Interior Construction business unit. This leader is responsible for identifying strategic sales opportunities and building key relationships to maintain and expand market presence and drive sales results. Reporting directly to and working closely with the Vice President of Prefabricated Interior Construction, this role is essential to the growth and success of the business unit.

    Essential Job Functions:

    1. Business Development and Strategy:
      • Identify new opportunities and target accounts, developing strategies to build relationships and grow market presence.
      • Collaborate with business unit leaders, manufacturer partners, and stakeholders to position AOI for success in key markets.
    2. Client Relationship Management:
      • Strengthen relationships with existing clients to protect and grow accounts through regular touchpoints.
      • Serve as the primary community representative for AOI’s prefabricated interior construction team, coordinating sponsorships, events, and A&D client engagements.
    3. Sales Leadership:
      • Lead initial client engagement, sales presentations, and messaging that aligns with AOI and DIRTT’s value propositions to meet client needs.
      • Maintain a high level of engagement with DIRTT sales and marketing resources to enhance the business development process. Work alongside AOI’s dedicated DIRTT sales representative to stay informed on products, tools and DIRTT Partner requirements.
      • Interface with other AOI business units to promote cross-selling opportunities.
      • Foster the AOI philosophy and culture within the Prefabricated Interior Construction team.
    4. Data and Market Research:
      • Research industry trends, potential clients, and projects to create new opportunities for AOI.
      • Use the Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to track business development opportunities.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Schedule and conduct client engagements and showroom tours.
    • Introduce project team (design/project management) to ensure a smooth transition from business development phases to proposal development and project execution.
    • Actively participate in professional organizations and community events, i.e., DBIA, etc.
    • Develop a detailed understanding of AOI products and services.

    Qualifications:

    • 4–7 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.
    • Basic understanding of built environment/construction industry.
    • Proven sales and leadership abilities.
    • Familiarity with the local business community (preferred).
    • Strong MS Office experience, i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM experience preferred.
    • Valid Nebraska/Iowa driver’s license (required).
